Awkward/Awesome Spring Break

Awkward
-Having to do some school on spring break 
-Not seeing my friends :(
-Spending a little two much time on Pinterest
-Having to wear "lawyer" attire during the tournament
-The Lemon bars were gone in two days...

Awesome
-Having my cousins come 
-Laughing all night with Grace (my cousin)
-Working on a memory journal
-SMASHING (details soon)
-Taking too many pictures :)
-Reading late a night
-Sleeping in 
-Going to OK for a tournament
-Winning first place in my biographical narrative 
-Making Lemon Bars
-Just enjoying my break 

I had an amazing Spring Break, but no it's back to school. Thankfully Summer is just around the corner! How was your Spring Break?

Beauty Tips

Tips to be Good Looking

1. For lovely eyes...
   -always look at the good side of other people (Philippians 2:4)

2. For tender lips
   -speak only kind words toward others (Colossians 4:6)

3. For a charming face
    -always smile with a happy heart (Proverbs 15:13)

4. For graceful arms 
    -reach out with compassion to those in need (Romans 9:15)

5. For beautiful feet 
    -always walk with God (Genesis 6:9)

Sunburst Lemon Bars


Sunburst Lemon Bars Recipe 
These are amazing bars and never fail to disappoint. Enjoy!

       Ingredients:
        \\\Base///
2 cups of flour                             Heat the oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl combine all of the base 
1/2 cup of powered sugar          ingredients at low speed until crumbly. Press mixture evenly in the 
1 cup of softened butter              bottom of an ungreased 13x9 pan. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes.

4 eggs                                         In a large bowl combine all the filling ingredients. Blend well. Pour 
2 cups of sugar                          mixture over warm base. Bake at 350 for an additional 25 to 30 
1/4 cup of flour                          minutes or until top is a light golden brown. Let it cool for 10 minutes.
1 teaspoon of baking powder
1/4 cup of lemon juice

        \\\Frosting///
1 cup of powdered sugar           In a small bowl combine the Frosting ingredients to from an icing. 
3 tablespoons of lemon juice     Spread over cool bars. 

     Wait until the bars are cooled before cutting into squares. Cutting before it is entirely cool may result in the bars falling apart. Also these are very good chilled in the freezer. Please comment if you made these. Enjoy!
