Awkward/Awesome Week (but mainly awesome!)

Awkward/Not the best part of my week
Brothers being gone
Having to rearrange furniture in my room half a dozen times
Not ready for the block party we are helping with
Wearing my favorite shirt too many times
Watching “Princess Bride” for the fourth time this week! (It is a good movie though)

Awesome/Awesome (you don’t need one more word to describe these things!)
Watching “Brave”
Going to Market’s Street
Painting my room
Ten days till my birthday (July 9)
Staying at my Grandma’s place
Having 14 followers!!!
Almost time to leave for camp
Spending the night at my friends house
Eating sweets all day at my Grandma’s

How was your week?

Rain

I saw God wash the World last night
with his sweet showers on high,
and then, when morning came, I saw
Him hang it out to dry.

He washed each tiny blade of grass
and every trembling tree;
He flung his showers against the hill
and swept the billowing sea.

The white rose is a cleaner white,
the red rose is more red,
Since God washed every fragrant face
and put them all to bed.

There's not a bird, there's not a bee
 that wings along the way
But is a cleaner bird and bee
than it was yesterday.

I saw God wash the world last night.
Ah, would He had washed me
as clean of all my dust and dirt
as that old white birch tree.

Creation

At our church the children’s ministry is going through the whole bible together, but the older you are the more you will learn about the story. I help with my mom and dad in my brother's class, since i am in the youth group and don’t go to Sunday school. Today we read the story of when God created man and woman. In the lesson was the verse Psalm 19:1. It really stood out to me.

Psalm 19:1
The heavens declare the glory of God,
and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.

Awkward/Awesome Move

Awkward:
One toilet works
The shower do not produce hot water
Too many boxes
Autograph line was too long at Birthday Bash for Adventures in Oddessy
Heat is everywhere
Not enough food in the house
A bike may have been stolen

Awesome:
Friends brought 2 dozen doughnuts to the moving day
Being closer to the Gruvers
Going to the musical “Oklahoma” with the Beauty and the Beast cast
Sweet scottish neighbors who brought us a carrot cake (so yummy!)
Having something to blog about (moving stuff)
Friends helping us move and preparing meals for us
Going to the Birthday Bash for Adventures in Oddessy on Saturday
Finding out we live near the Gigleys

Father’s Day

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there including mine.

Only a Dad
by Edgar Guest

Only a dad with tired face
Coming home from the daily race,
Bringing little of gold or fame
To show how well he has played the game;
But in his heart that his own rejoice
To see him come and hear his voice

Only a dad with a brood of four, -my dad really has five, but I can’t change the poem
One of ten million men or more
Plodding along in daily strife,
Bearing the whips and scorn of life,
With never a whimper of pain or hate,
For the sake of those who at home await.

Only a dad, neither rich nor proud,
Merely one of the surging crowd,
Toiling, striving from day to day,
Facing whatever comes his way,
Silent whenever the harsh condemn,
And bearing it all for the love of them.

Only a dad, but he gives his all,
To smooth the way for his children small,
Doing with courage stern and grim
The deeds that his father did to him.
This is the line that for him I pen:
Only a dad, but the best of men.

I hope you read this to your dad.

I love you Dad!

Congratulations Jack!

Graduation day for my cousin Jack

Since I am home schooled I was thrilled that I got to go to a public school graduation. There were about 400 seniors. The graduation was held in a arena thing with the seats raised all around it.

Jack is in there somewhere...
