little joys

Last night I slept on the trampoline with my sister. It was a little better than camping in a tent. I mean not as good as the camping, but better than sleeping in the tent. I consider sleeping outside one of the little joys. Let me paint you a scene of a sky black as midnight with the glow of city lights below it. A whisper in the grass, and a comfy blanket to cuddle up to with a sister right beside you. That's why its one of life's little joys, when something so simple and uninteresting are because of the wonder and strange beauty about it. Yesterday night was the first time I slept in the trampoline. I guess I can cross that one of the bucket list! Now I'm off to pick blackberries.

currently

1. listening - to Dancing in the Rain by Shane Harper. It is such a fun song that makes me want to get up and dance in the rain...I guess you can tell that from the song title. :)

2. eating - lemon bars! These bars are my favorite recipe from my Nana's cookbook and I make them all the time, well at least once a month. I am also eating blueberries. There is nothing like fresh blueberries.

3. drinking - chilled lemonade (on a hot day). Nuff' said.

4. wearing - a faded pair of jeans with a jean ruffled shirt, and my polka dot flats.

5. feeling - inspired to make the most of summer. “And so with the sunshine and the great bursts of leaves growing on the trees, just as things grow in fast movies, I had that familiar conviction that life was beginning over again with the summer.” ― F. Scott FitzgeraldThe Great Gatsby

6. weather - Hot.

7. needing - Cool weather,

8. wanting - my mom to take me to the library to get some new books where the librarians will stare at me again as I take a bag stuffed with books plus 2 large stacks of books out of the libary. I think we all know that I am just not an average reader. :)

9. thinking - about that GFC is going to be taken away. :( I am so mad at Google. You can be mad at a website, right? I love GFC, so I don't know why they are taken it away. But thankfully there is a substitute Bloglovin'. I transferred all my favorite blogs to there, and you should too. While we are on this topic...Follow my blog with Bloglovin

10. enjoying - no school! I guess that one is kinda obvious...

meant to be

"some things,
like rain in april
and popsicles on
the fourth of july,
are meant to be."

Found this quote and thought it would be a good quote to share.

nefelibata

(n.) lit. "cloud-walker"; one who lives in the clouds of their own imagination or dreams, or one who does not obey the conventions of society, literature, or art.

Once in a while I'll get into my own little world. So if I stare at you like a maniac...remember I am not trying to look at you. If I get into my own little world I usually doodle on any scrap of paper, napkin, or one time an egg carton!

I found this on Pinterest.

Ok maybe not that many tabs, but still it has some truth to it...That's why when my Mom ask me what I am thinking about I say, "Nothing.", which is not true, but I am thinking about 100 things at once. I think that all girls think like this, because you think you are thinking about one particular subject, but your mind takes that subject and thinks of 50 thing related to the object your thinking of. And then you might get a brilliant idea that has nothing to do with your subject, but it's so brilliant you make 50 new topics relating to that topic. And on and on it repeats.

I just read it. It sounds confusing! But it is the truth at least for me. :)

What do you do when you get lost in your own world?

instagram love

I just opened an Instagram account, and it has been a lot of fun. My user name is birdsong14, because Vogelsang translated from German to English is bird song and I am 14. I am under the name Emma Vogelsang.
Do you like the photo of my app instagram? I blurred the outside ends with an effect on the app Camera+. In my entire time as an apple user I have only bought 3 apps. All of them were camera apps so I guess that shows I love to take photos. Camera + was one of the apps I bought. It was three dollars, which is alot, but Camera+ is my faveorite picture editing app.
I also bought the app Afterlight. I got it because it had the ability to cut your pictures into all kinds of shapes, which I thought was neat. It was the only app I could find that had that ability.
The last app I have bought is Beauitful Mess. It is an app that adds borders, words, shapes, and other things, but I felt ripped. The app itself cost ninty-nine cents, but when you go on the app there are about 15 other packets that cost ninty-nine cents, too, and of course I want these packets, but I can't spend fifteen dollars on one app! The app was created by Emma and Elise and they have a blog called A Beautiful Mess, which is why I expected more from this app. So when I bought the app I expected more free things and less things to buy. Instead I felt they were just trying to make the most money that they could, but the overall goal of the app is really creative. Oh and that instagram picture...I added the red heart using this app.

And I still think that Pinterest is more fun than Instagram, even though I like instagram. :)
